About

Honesty, Assertiveness, Responsibility, and Peace. The hallmark's of our program.

Our Mission

To provide the highest level of individualized addiction treatment by bridging the gap between conventional and alternative treatment approaches. This model increases sobriety success rates, save lives, and helps more people recover from addiction and alcoholism.

Our Vision

The vision of HARP is to re-define the entire treatment experience. We understand that no two individuals are the same, therefore no two treatment plans should be. Our unique ability to offer a variety of proven recovery methods enables our treatment team to match our clients with a treatment plan and recovery lifestyle that are tailored to their specific needs.

Who We Are

HARP Palm Beach is a residential addiction treatment center located in Palm Beach, Florida on a barrier island known as Singer Island. HARP treats females and males 18 years of age and older who suffer from the affliction of drug addiction, alcoholism and mental illness . Our highly experienced staff consists of doctors, psychiatrists, chiropractors, and master's level therapists, comprising a century of clinical experience treating addiction and dual-diagnosis. HARP provides superior individualized treatment in a serene waterfront setting. With our tailored clinical program, we are positioned to treat those who chronically relapse, as well as those that suffer from addiction and mental illness known as dual-diagnosis, with a unique and proven approach.

The HARP name is derived from the four core principles that our program is built upon: Honesty, Assertiveness, Responsibility, and Peace. These principles are addressed throughout the entire program and must be practiced daily in order for an individual to successfully complete our program. We believe in order to completely recover from addiction and alcoholism; one must address their whole being, mind, body, and spirit. Through our exclusive program we have developed the HARP core principle plan. This plan ensures that all HARP clients are introduced and taught to integrate the four major principles that must be present in every recovering individuals life. The principles of honesty, assertiveness, responsibility, and peace (H.A.R.P.) are the very hallmark's of HARP's entire treatment program. If an individual has the ability to incorporate these principles into their everyday life, sobriety is inherent.

At HARP, we understand the mental and physical resistance individuals face when trying to get their loved ones, or themselves into treatment. Through careful evaluation of these "treatment barriers," we designed our resort-like accommodations and our entire treatment approach to make our clients feel right at home…like guests, rather than "patients."

Our facility has been completely renovated in 2013 offering the latest in comfort and style. Each apartment is equipped with a 42" flat screen television, pillow top bedding, hypo-allergenic linens, granite kitchen counters, and luxurious new bathrooms. The community center offers recreation and waterfront dining providing a serene environment in which to enjoy highly individualized meals from our nutritious menu. Our North Ocean Drive location sits right across from The Ritz-Carlton and offers a warm, non-hospital like setting and our Lake Drive residences offer complete 24/7 staff supervision with a state of the art video and security system.

Typical lengths of stay are 30, 60, and 90 days. This is more accurately determined on a case-by-case basis upon a thorough evaluation during the client's intake. HARP offers private and semi-private rooms and we offer intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs for those that need a less intensive level of care, or a "step down" program through our supervised transitional living program.

Our Approach

Upon intake every client is given an impartial, in-depth clinical evaluation, psychiatric evaluation (if the client is prescribed to psycho-tropic medications), and medical evaluation (see our methodology). Once this process is done, our exclusive TSP program (Therapist Specialty Program) matches the client with the therapist that specializes in that individual's unique needs. The client's continuum of care plan is also created as a sobriety roadmap specific to that individual's unique recovery needs. This client specific plan ensures the maximum chance of successful sobriety.

We believe that everyone can get sober, and we believe there is more than one way to do this. Client centered is a term that simply means we engage the client where they are at the very moment they admit into HARP Treatment Center. Our belief is that in order for one to get sober, and stay sober, we must treat the client in such a way, as to develop a trust that the client gravitates toward. This completely individualized approach is where the term "client-centered" comes from. The client becomes the center of the program around which we customize the entire treatment plan. Each client has their own unique background, upbringing, belief system, and set of circumstances. Only by recognizing these factors can we effectively "reach" the client and begin the healing process.

Our model has been in existence and proven successful since 1970. We empower our clients and teach them to live with confidence, versus fear. We teach them to step outside their comfort zones and learn that they can achieve whatever they set their mind to, without the fear that they will end up using. Through our intensive daily process groups HARP clients begin to see an entirely new perspective of what a sober life can be. Through our innovative and unique program, HARP clients are given another chance at a sober life.

Through our eclectic mix and usage of treatment modalities, we are able to be "client-centered" in addressing the clients' needs. Many treatment centers utilize one approach, thereby offering a cookie cutter form of treatment. By utilizing numerous methods, we treat each and every specific issue with the modality that best fits the client. Our therapeutic team of experts allows us to match the exact therapist and their respective specialty with the clients needs.

We offer a personalized chronic pain track (*additional costs may apply) to help those who suffer from this debilitating issue. We treat both the physical, and the physiological aspect of this powerful addiction through chiropractic, massage, and other evidence-based techniques. We teach the client learn to live pain free, and without the need of life threatening addictive medications.

What Makes Us Different?

The goal at HARP is to introduce our clients to the very best treatment methods. We do this by providing a client-centered multi-disciplinary approach with a team of highly skilled clinicians. By utilizing this innovative multi-modality approach in concert with various successful evidence based therapeutic and continuing care models, HARP clients are offered the very best chance for everlasting sobriety. We are the only treatment center that concentrates on "core issue resolution" through our exclusive approach known as the Palm Beach Group Method®.

HARP's program is a client-centered holistic treatment style with an eclectic clinical approach that carefully integrates various forms of the most successful treatment methods possible. We integrate an array of theraputic and evidence-based models that include cognitive therapy, behavioral modification, interpersonal therapy, and social integration to meet the needs of each and every specific individual. Our treatment schedule places a heavy emphasis on daily intensive psychotherapy groups, caseload group, and intensive individual therapy to ensure that every HARP client receives the necessary therapeutic attention needed for a successful recovery. By carefully integrating this innovative method, with our high level of individual care, clients are equipped with the choice, purpose, vision and goals to achieve and maintain a continuous sober lifestyle.
